What We Collect
We collect your email address when you register. We collect product data you choose to analyze through our Chrome extension. We do not track your browsing history. Reviews are processed in real-time and discarded after analysis. We do not store individual review content.
How We Use It
Your email is used to maintain your account and send service-related updates. Product analysis data is used to generate verdicts and improve our detection algorithms. We never use your data to serve advertising.
Affiliate Disclosure
BasedUsers participates in the Amazon Associates Program. When you buy a product through a link on our site, we may earn a small commission — at zero extra cost to you. This is our entire business model. Our verdicts are not influenced by whether we have an affiliate relationship with a product. We earn commission on "Not Based" products too, when we recommend an alternative. Our only incentive is to send you to the right product.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies for authentication only. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile your behavior.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely via Supabase with encryption at rest. We retain it only as long as your account is active.
Your Rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Email us at hello@basedusers.com and we will respond within 30 days.
